FAQs

The questions people ask before they start

What if I spend my money on a website and end up disappointed, overcharged, delayed or unable to get hold of the person who built it? Below are straight answers to that concern, and to everything else people ask before signing up.

The two biggest worries

What happens once I've paid, and what happens if I ever want to leave?

Two fears come up more than any other. First: will this business still be answering the phone in six months, or will the site quietly stop being looked after once the invoice is paid? Second: if this doesn't work out, will I be locked into a system I can't take with me, unable to move my domain, my content or my customer data anywhere else?

Support continues for as long as you're on a plan, and leaving is straightforward. Cancel any time, keep your website files, and we'll help move your CRM data to wherever you're going next. No exit fee, no small print built to make leaving difficult.

Nothing holds you here

We're confident enough in what we build that we don't need a contract, or a difficult exit process, to keep you around.

Everything else

The questions UK business owners ask before they start.

What plans do you offer?

Three. Starter at £74 a month for a business that needs a proper site live fast. Professional at £249 a month for a business that wants to compete in search results, not just tick a box by having a site. Business at £649 a month and up, for anyone running more than one site, storefront or listing.

What does each plan cost, and is that the whole price?

Starter is £74 a month, Professional is £249 a month, Business starts at £649 a month. Design, build, hosting, SSL and support all sit inside that figure. There's no separate hosting bill landing in your inbox six months later.

Is this cheap web design, or is it actually any good?

It's priced like cheap web design and built like it isn't. £74 a month gets a custom site, not a template, with hosting, security and support included. The only thing "cheap" about it is the bill.

Can I get the text or photos changed after the site is live?

Yes, on every plan. Starter includes thirty minutes of updates a month, Professional includes two hours, and Business comes with a dedicated account manager for anything that needs doing.

How long until the site is live?

Around fourteen days from kick-off on Starter. Professional and Business can take a little longer, depending on how many pages and how much content needs writing.

How many pages do I get?

Up to five on Starter, up to ten on Professional. Business is scoped around however many sites, stores or listings you're running.

Is there a contract?

No. Everything is billed monthly and you can cancel whenever you like. We think that keeps us honest. If the site and the support aren't worth the money, you shouldn't have to pay to leave.

What happens if I want to leave?

This works as a lease rather than a straight sale, so the site isn't handed over outright while you're on the plan. But nothing holds you here either. Cancel any time, and you take your website files with you. If you're moving your contacts and CRM data to another provider, we'll help get that transferred across.

Do you work with businesses across the whole UK?

Yes. Every step — the first call, the build, ongoing support — happens by phone, video and email, so it works exactly the same whether you're down the road or the other end of the country.

Are there any setup or joining fees?

No. The monthly price is the price. There's no separate setup, onboarding or design fee added on top before the site goes live — something worth checking carefully with other pay-monthly providers, as it's rarely mentioned in the headline price.

What sort of businesses do you usually build for?

A mix of owner-run businesses: cafes and small retail, coaches and consultants, plus trades like plumbers, electricians and cleaners. If you answer your own phone and searched "web designer near me" hoping for something other than a big agency quote, this is probably built for you.

Do you help with Google rankings, or just the website itself?

On Professional and Business, both. We manage the Google Business Profile, handle on-page SEO, and on Professional we write one to two SEO blog posts a month. Starter includes basic SEO setup, so the foundations are right from day one.

Will I be dealing with different people throughout, or one point of contact?

One point of contact. One studio handles design, build, hosting and support, with a named person on your account from the first call onward — not a chain of departments or a different voice every time you get in touch.

What happens after my website goes live — do you disappear?

No. Every plan includes ongoing monthly updates and continued access to the same contact who built your site, not just support during the build. The relationship carries on after launch, for as long as you're on a plan.

Do I need to understand web design or hosting to work with you?

No. Everything is explained in plain English on the first call. You're never expected to already know technical terms like DNS, SSL or hosting before we can help you — that's our job, not yours.
